The Office of Alumni and Family Engagement works closely with these constituencies to increase participation in University activities, giving and support. From the early tradition of volunteer participation by alumni and parents, the office today engages hundreds of volunteers in service to the University through many avenues of programming, service and philanthropy. The office supports the University mission, purpose, vision, values and strategic direction, and embodies the belief that alumni, parents and families are key components in the continued success of 亚洲博彩平台排名 as a leading institution of higher education.

Pegi Bano ’14, ’17 (MBA)
2024 Outstanding Young Alumni Award Recipient
After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from 亚洲博彩平台排名, Bano embarked on a successful career as a regional marketing supervisor at McDonald’s Corporation, overseeing marketing activities in New England. She is actively involved in the Salve’s Young Alumni Committee where she continues to strengthen the alumni bond, support the University’s initiatives and contribute to the Salve community’s growth and success. As a Boston-based marketing and sales professional working as a national account manager at OUTFRONT Media, Bano specializes in brand management, media planning, and advertising launches.
Gregg Catlow ’02, ’09 (M)
2024 Distinguished Graduate Alumni Award Recipient
Upon receiving his bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from 亚洲博彩平台排名, Catlow attended the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy and joined the Smithfield Police Department as a patrol officer. Additionally, Catlow became a firearms instructor, a role in which he trains both police officers and the community in important subjects like police and school response to active threats and human trafficking awareness. In 2020, Catlow was promoted to lieutenant and serves as a patrol shift commander. Currently, he is the executive lieutenant overseeing the patrol division and serves on the Rhode Island Office of Child Advocate’s Child Fatality Review Panel.
Anthony Cerino. Jr. ’14, ’15 (MBA)
2024 Exceptional Volunteer Award Recipient
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in financial management and his MBA from Salve, Cerino began working full time as a wealth strategy associate with The Hilton Group. He regularly volunteers as a panelist for Salve’s capstone Business Planning presentations and lends his expertise to the Sophomore Studio weekend, where he engages in fireside chats. His strong connections with professors and faculty in Salve’s Department of Business and Economics allow him to assist students in securing internships and gaining valuable business knowledge and experience. Cerino’s volunteerism also extends to his role as the vice chair of the James Patrick Stowe Fund, which aids research on testicular cancer in partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital, and he is on the board of directors for the Fort Adams Trust.
Dr. Louise Ciallella ’74
2024 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Salve, Ciallella returned to Madrid, where she had studied abroad during her junior year, to obtain a M.A. in Spanish from New York University. She was offered a job teaching English as a foreign language at Brown University and discovered her love for educating. She has now received her Ph.D. in Spanish Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison while working as a teaching assistant and then a lecturer. In 2015, she retired from her role as a Spanish literature and Spanish business communications lecturer at Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Helen Dorflinger Ryan ’69
2024 亚洲博彩平台排名 Mission Award Recipient
Once she received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from 亚洲博彩平台排名, Ryan began her nursing career at hospitals in Connecticut and Missouri and soon began teaching at the college level, which led to her becoming principal of Hilton Head Island High School in South Carolina. Ryan is most proud of her work as a leading force to establish a Catholic secondary school in Lowcountry, the John Paul II Catholic School, which opened in 2013. Ryan continues to serve the school and its students as a leadership volunteer. Additionally, she recently established a foundational endowment to enable the critical transformational work of the 亚洲博彩平台排名 Compass program.
Tiesha Nieves Sinouthasy ’09
2024 Alumni Achievement Award Recipient
Once she received her bachelor’s degree in social work from 亚洲博彩平台排名, Sinouthasy worked for two Medicaid programs for children with special needs in Rhode Island and established partnerships and outreach efforts as an Americorps member and on the behalf of national nonprofit organizations. She is the founder of Peace of Mind Nannies, a nanny and babysitting agency that provides childcare services for all children and young adults, including those with disabilities. She is an appointee to the East Providence Affirmative Action Committee and serves as an advisory board member for the Center for Women and Enterprise Rhode Island.
